Didn’t expect this, but Benin turned out to be one of the safest countries I’ve been to in Africa.

I was walking around at night, alone, camera in hand — and not once did I feel unsafe or out of place.

The moment I crossed the border from Nigeria, everything changed… French signs everywhere, clean roads, stricter rules. Felt like I entered a different world.

West Africa can be intense sometimes, but Benin was a breath of fresh air. Calm, beautiful, and full of surprises.
