🌱 Plantation Drive under the Theme "Mero Rukh, Mero Santati – 108 Trees for Every Newborn" 🌱

In a heartfelt initiative to promote environmental sustainability and forge a lasting bond between present and future generations, the Forest Department, Ranipool Range, in collaboration with MG NAREGA, organized a meaningful plantation drive under the inspiring theme: “Mero Rukh, Mero Santati – 108 Trees for Every Newborn.”

The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Shri Jeewan S***a, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Hon’ble MLA of the 24-Martam Rumtek Constituency. His esteemed presence added immense value and inspiration to the green initiative.

This noble drive symbolizes a steadfast commitment to environmental conservation and serves as a living tribute to the future generation—planting not just trees, but a legacy of life, responsibility, and love with every new birth.

On this special occasion, Shri Jeewan S***a was felicitated by Shri Janak Sharma, Principal of Pioneer Preparatory School, in recognition of his generous contributions and unwavering support towards the school and this noble environmental cause. Shri S***a also visited Durga Mandir to seek blessings.

"Official Clarification by Shri Sekhar Rai to "Khabar Samay"

"In response to the recent viral video in which I was seen expressing that I had not received any benefit from the SKM Government — a statement made during a spontaneous interaction with Shri Kewal Tamang — I would like to offer some clarity.

Firstly, I wish to acknowledge that my statement was made in a personal context and was not intended to disregard or undermine the developmental efforts and welfare schemes initiated by the SKM Government under the dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay).

I understand that the video has been widely circulated and may have led to misunderstandings among the public and party supporters. I deeply respect the ongoing work of the government and the opportunities it has created for the people of Sikkim, including in my own constituency.

I would also like to take this opportunity to sincerely apologize to the Hon’ble MLA Shri Sonam Tshering Venchungpa and Ward Panchayat Shri Bhaskar Bhattrai for unnecessarily including their names in my earlier statement. It was never my intention to involve them in a matter that stemmed purely from my personal remarks. I regret any inconvenience or discomfort this may have caused them.

I sincerely request the media and the public to consider the full context of any expression before drawing conclusions. I remain a committed and loyal supporter of the vision and leadership of the SKM Party."
