From 2009 to 2019, the SKM party’s only contribution to Sikkim’s politics was shouting from the opposition benches. Today, even after being in power for more than four years, the SKM government is still trapped in the same opposition mindset. A party that has failed to govern responsibly has no moral ground to lecture anyone about the role of opposition.

The reality is plain before the people of Sikkim. Since 2022, the old-age pensions of many senior citizens remain pending, leaving our elders neglected and disrespected. Salaries of hardworking youth are repeatedly delayed, robbing them of both dignity and security. Basic services such as electricity, roads, and healthcare are ignored, and law and order have weakened. Economic stability has collapsed, and the promise of happiness for the people has turned into disillusionment. This is the so-called “Parivartan” that SKM boasted about. What we see instead is a government reduced to a circus of excuses and blame games.

The youth of Sikkim are not begging for charity; they are demanding the future and opportunities that SKM promised them. Bluffing, excuses, and empty speeches will not feed families or create jobs. Governance demands action, accountability, and responsibility—qualities that SKM has consistently failed to show.

When it comes to accountability, the silence of the ruling party is deafening. Not a single SKM representative has had the courage to attend open debates organized by the media. Why? Because they know that their failures cannot withstand the truth when challenged face-to-face. Avoiding debate only exposes their weakness and fear of being questioned by the people.

Citizen Action Party–Sikkim demands that the SKM government step out of its opposition hangover and finally accept the responsibilities of governance. Excuses do not build roads. Excuses do not pay pensions. Excuses do not create jobs. Excuses do not bring justice. Responsibility does. Until the SKM government learns this, it will continue to lose the trust, the respect, and ultimately the mandate of the people of Sikkim. Citizen Action Party–Sikkim stands firm in its commitment to hold this government accountable for every broken promise and every failure that has betrayed the people of our state.

On 5th September 2025, Govt. Chittray Primary School South Sikkim observed a historic event i.e.Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan jayanti as a teachers day.
During the long day programme students performed different cultural programmes at the same time respected H.M of Chittray PS Shri.Passang Lepcha falicitated by 09 Burfung honourable Zilla miss Anjana Sharma and under the leadership of H.M Passang Sir gave a token of love to respected 09 Burfung Zilla miss Anjana Sharma,Miss Leela Maya Manger ( Panchayat President of Borong Phamtam GPU) and Mr.Sanjok Gurung.

भुटिया लोकसाहित्य कार्यशाला सफलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न

तीन दिने भुटिया लोकसाहित्य सङ्कलन कार्यशाला केन्द्रीय हिन्दी संस्थान, आग्रा र सिक्किमका भुटिया विज्ञहरूको संयुक्त पहलमा सफलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न भयो। कार्यशाला २०२५ सेप्टेम्बर २ देखि ४ तारिखसम्म माखिमस्थित भुटिया हाउस मा आयोजना गरिएको थियो।

यस कार्यशालामा आदरणीय भुटिया विज्ञहरू—तदोंग कलेजकी प्राध्यापक डा. नाम्दोल भुटिया, भाषाशाखा (सिक्किम सरकार) की हिन्दी संयोजक डा. चुकि लेप्चा, डा. सोनाम ओङमु भुटिया (पीजीटी), श्री भाइचुङ भुटिया (एटीबिओ), श्रीमती शोभा शर्मा (डीईओ), श्री कर्मा लोब्जाङ भुटिया (शिक्षक, वेस्ट प्वाइन्ट वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय), तथा सिक्किम विश्वविद्यालयकी डा. चुकि भुटिया सहभागी भएका थिए।

कार्यक्रमका संयोजक डा. चुके भुटियाले सबै सहभागीहरूलाई स्वागत गर्दै सम्मानित गरे र कार्यशाला आयोजना गर्नुको उद्देश्यबारे जानकारी दिए। पहिलो दिन छलफल भुटिया लोकसाहित्य अन्तर्गत पर्ने विषयवस्तु र सामग्री मा केन्द्रित थियो। सहभागीहरूले भुटिया लोकपरम्परामा विद्यमान ज्ञानलाई कसरी प्रस्तुत गर्ने भन्ने विषयमा गहन विचार–विमर्श गरेका थिए।

पछिल्ला दुई दिन विषयवस्तु तयारी, विद्यमान सामग्रीहरूको अनुवाद तथा अन्य कार्यहरूमा समर्पित गरियो। समापन सत्रमा परियोजनाका भुटिया सम्पादकका रूपमा काम गरेका डा. नाम्दोल भुटियाले सबै सहभागीप्रति आभार व्यक्त गर्दै, तोकिएका कामहरू समयमै पूरा गर्न अनुरोध गरे। सहभागीहरूलाई यो भुटिया लोकसाहित्य सङ्कलन परियोजना सकेसम्म चाँडो सम्पन्न गर्न सहकार्य गर्न अपेक्षा गरिएको थियो।
