JKSSB Postpones JE (Civil & Electrical) Examinations after Intervention of LoP Shri Sunil Sharma

The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has postponed the forthcoming Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical) Examinations after the intervention of Leader of Opposition, Shri Sunil Sharma, in view of the recent natural calamities across the Union Territory.

Sharma said that he had received several representations from aspirants of the JKSSB Junior Engineer examinations, highlighting the unprecedented hardships caused by flash floods, cloudbursts, and landslides in many areas. Students from affected regions had expressed grave concerns over their inability to reach exam centres and prepare under such extraordinary circumstances.

Taking note of these genuine grievances, Shri Sharma urged the Service Selection Board to act in the interest of fairness and equal opportunity. The JKSSB has responded positively and decided to postpone the examinations, thereby providing relief to thousands of aspirants across Jammu & Kashmir.

LOP & BJP MLA, Shri Sunil Sharma Writes to Honourable LG, UT of J&K; Seeks Postponement of Munsiff and 10+2 Lecturer Examinations:

Leader of Opposition, Sunil Sharma, has written to the Honourable Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir seeking postponement of the forthcoming Munsiff and 10+2 Lecturer post examinations being conducted by the JKPSC.

In his communication, Sharma highlighted the serious difficulties being faced by aspirants and students across the Union Territory. He pointed out that frequent landslides, cloudbursts, and road disconnectivity have left large areas cut off, making it extremely difficult for students to reach exam centres. He also drew attention to the poor internet services in many regions, which are preventing aspirants from downloading admit cards and accessing study material.

Anil Sharma–Sunit Finish Runner-up in B.B. Choudhary Memorial Badminton Tournament 2025

Jammu : The prestigious B.B. Choudhary Memorial Badminton Tournament concluded successfully at Police Line Jammu. The four-day event, held from 12th to 15th September 2025, witnessed enthusiastic participation from 44 teams across Jammu & Kashmir.

The tournament reached an exciting climax with the final match between Anil Sharma–Sunit and Vipul Saini–Sahil Verma. In a closely fought badminton encounter, Anil Sharma and Sunit showcased remarkable skill, teamwork, and determination, ultimately finishing as Runner-up.
