Hong Kong-based apparel giant Epic Group has chosen Odisha as the destination for its first manufacturing unit in India, marking a significant boost to the state’s industrial growth. The new facility, located at the IDCO Industrial Estate in Khordha, is set to commence operations on April 29. Spread across 40 acres, the project involves an investment of over ₹220 crore and is expected to generate employment for around 6,000 to 7,000 people. Notably, the unit is designed with a strong focus on sustainability, aiming to achieve net positive energy and water usage. The Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela has been honoured with prestigious recognitions from the India Book of Records and the Asia Book of Records for its outstanding achievement in academic administration.

BPUT earned this distinction for setting a new benchmark by publishing examination results within just two days of conducting pen-and-paper tests. A total of 67,963 undergraduate and postgraduate students appeared for the examinations, with an impressive 3,51,264 answer scripts evaluated in record time.
