🎯 *Role Overview*
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Engineer specializing in Steel Works for Bridges, with a strong background in both design and fabrication. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in structural engineering, bridge design, and steel fabrication processes, contributing to the successful ex*****on of major highway bridge projects.
🛠️ *Key Responsibilities*
🔧 *Design & Engineering*
• Design and analysis of steel highway bridges using IRC, BS, and Eurocodes.
• Quantity estimation of steel structural elements including piers, pier caps, girders, and cross girders.
• Validate correct application of connections, welds, bolts, and fabrication details.
• Examine shop drawings, er****on drawings, and vendor material lists for compliance with project standards.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot and resolve design and fabrication issues.
🏗️ *Fabrication & Er****on*
• Plan and prepare detailed fabrication and er****on schedules.
• Conduct tests and inspections to ensure quality and precision of fabricated components.
• Maintain accurate documentation of fabrication processes and inspection results.
• Track and verify rolling stock, production records, and material deliveries.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and client specifications during fabrication and er****on phases.
🎓 *Minimum Qualifications*
• Graduate (B.E / B.Tech)in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• 5 years of experience in a similar capacity for major highway bridges/structures.
• Experience in designing at least two major highway bridges of similar configuration.
🌟 *Preferential Qualifications*
• Postgraduate degree in Structural Engineering.
• Design experience of major highway bridges of 200m or more (excluding approaches).
• Proven expertise in innovative and specialized bridge designs, including:
◦ Precast Segmental Construction.
◦ Cantilever Construction.
◦ Cable-Stayed Bridges.
◦ Suspension Bridges.
💻 *Technical Skills*
• Proficiency in structural design software: MIDAS, LUSAS, STAAD.Pro, Superstress, SAM, ARCHIE.
• Familiarity with fabrication QA/QC protocols and inspection standards.
• Strong documentation and reporting abilities.
