Sikh Naujwan Sabha Jammu and Kashmir Formally Constituted, Commits to Revival of Sikh Values and Drug-Free Youth Movement
Jammu, November 4, 2025:
In a landmark initiative for the Sikh community of Jammu and Kashmir, the “Sikh Naujwan Sabha Jammu and Kashmir” was formally constituted and its Memorandum of Association (MoA) unveiled during a press meet held in Jammu.
Dedicated to “Naujwani, Gurmat, and Panthic Spirit,” the Sabha aims to unite Sikh youth, revive Gurmat-based living, and channel their energy towards Seva, discipline, and leadership while remaining strictly non-political.
Core Focus Areas
The Sabha’s primary mission is to inspire Sikh youth to live a life of faith, service, and responsibility in accordance with Gurmat and Sikh Rehat Maryada. A special emphasis has been laid on eradicating the menace of drugs and intoxicants through awareness campaigns, counselling sessions, and youth rehabilitation drives under the guidance of Panthic principles.
Key Objectives
To reaffirm unwavering allegiance to Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji as the eternal Guru.
To organize Gurmat Samagams, Kirtan Darbars, and Youth Camps across J&K for spiritual awakening.
To launch drug de-addiction and awareness campaigns to rescue and reform affected youth, guiding them back to a disciplined Sikh way of life.
To promote education, leadership, and community service among Sikh youth.
To engage in Nishkam Sewa through blood donation, medical aid, and environmental initiatives.
Panthic Integrity and Non-Political Character
The Sabha’s members will strictly follow Sikh Rehat Maryada, abstain from intoxicants, and remain free from political affiliations or factionalism. It will coordinate with Gurdwara Committees, Sikh institutions, and educational bodies to strengthen unity and representation.
Leadership Message
Addressing the media, the founding members emphasized that the Sabha is a movement for moral and spiritual awakening, particularly aimed at steering the youth away from the dangers of drug addiction and social decay.
“Our goal is to bring Sikh youth back to the path of Gurmat, discipline, and Seva. A drug-free and spiritually awakened generation is the true strength of the Panth,” said the leadership collectively.

Commitment and Conclusion
All office bearers took a solemn pledge to uphold Sikh Rehat Maryada and dedicate themselves to Panthic unity and service. The event concluded with Ardas for the Chardi Kala of the Sikh Panth and an appeal to all Sikh youth to join hands in building a drug-free, disciplined, and united community.
