A teacher is supposed to educate and guide — not brutally assault a student.

A viral video from Kalam Academy, Jaipur allegedly shows teacher Praveen Dan Charan repeatedly slapping a student and kicking him inside the classroom. The incident reportedly took place after an issue involving a note.

The institute has removed the teacher, but is that enough?

Where is the police action? Where is the accountability? And where is the Rajasthan Education Minister?

Whatever the student may have done, physical assault inside an educational institution cannot be justified. A classroom must be a place of learning, not fear and violence.
