Hyderabad: Excise STF Busts Ganja-Laced Thandai Racket in Old City

In a major crackdown, the Excise STF in Hyderabad busted a g***a-laced thandai racket operating in the Old City area.

The accused, Vikas Sharma, was arrested for allegedly mixing cannabis-infused chocolates into thandai and selling it at ₹150 per glass, while the regular price was ₹50.

Officials seized 1,920 g***a chocolates weighing approximately 9.6 kg during the operation, conducted under the limits of the Charminar Excise Station.

Further investigation is underway to identify supply chains and possible links. Authorities have warned that strict action will be taken against those involved in the illegal sale of narcotic substances.

Kamareddy: Moving Car Catches Fire on Highway in Sadashivanagar Mandal

A major incident was reported in Kamareddy district after a moving car suddenly caught fire on a highway in Sadashivanagar mandal.

Hyderabad – Case Filed Against Haldiram Outlet in Attapur for Allegedly Selling Fungus-Infected Sweets

A criminal case has been registered against the management of Haldiram’s outlet in Attapur, Hyderabad, following allegations of selling fungus-infected sweets to customers.

According to complaints, customers accused the outlet of selling old and spoiled stock. After the issue came to light, authorities registered a case and seized the sweet products for testing.

The incident occurred when a container being transported on a lorry reportedly fell onto his car, crushing the vehicle and killing him on the spot.

A tragic road accident occurred near Ranasthalam in Srikakulam district. At Baruva Junction, a biker carelessly attempted to cross the road, forcing a lorry driver to swerve suddenly to avoid him. The lorry crossed the divider and rammed into a car coming from the opposite direction.

Noida Police have recovered 821 stolen mobile phones, valued between ₹6–8 crore, and arrested 8 accused — Govinda Mahto, Rohit Saini, Shyam Rai, Bhartiya Mahto, Shekhar, Pradeep, along with 2 minors.

All the accused are residents of Jharkhand–Bihar. Police said the gang targeted people who kept their phones in jacket pockets during winter, later collecting the stolen devices and transporting them to Bihar–Jharkhand for resale. Investigation is ongoing.

Rajendranagar SOT police caught a man red-handed for illegally selling deer meat. The accused, Mohammad Irfanuddin, a resident of Suleman Nagar, was arrested during a raid based on credible information.

Police seized around 15 kg of deer meat along with cash from his possession. According to officials, the accused allegedly hunted a deer from a forest area and sold the meat locally in Suleman Nagar.

Attapur police have registered a case under the Wildlife Protection Act and further investigation is underway.
