Hyderabad: Excise STF Busts Ganja-Laced Thandai Racket in Old City

In a major crackdown, the Excise STF in Hyderabad busted a g***a-laced thandai racket operating in the Old City area.

The accused, Vikas Sharma, was arrested for allegedly mixing cannabis-infused chocolates into thandai and selling it at ₹150 per glass, while the regular price was ₹50.

Officials seized 1,920 g***a chocolates weighing approximately 9.6 kg during the operation, conducted under the limits of the Charminar Excise Station.

Further investigation is underway to identify supply chains and possible links. Authorities have warned that strict action will be taken against those involved in the illegal sale of narcotic substances.

Kamareddy: Moving Car Catches Fire on Highway in Sadashivanagar Mandal

A major incident was reported in Kamareddy district after a moving car suddenly caught fire on a highway in Sadashivanagar mandal.

The vehicle was engulfed in flames within minutes and was completely gutted before help could arrive. Thick smoke was seen billowing from the car, causing panic among motorists on the route.

The driver sustained minor injuries in the incident. Locals rushed to the spot, shifted him to a nearby hospital in an ambulance, and alerted authorities.

Hyderabad – Case Filed Against Haldiram Outlet in Attapur for Allegedly Selling Fungus-Infected Sweets

A criminal case has been registered against the management of Haldiram’s outlet in Attapur, Hyderabad, following allegations of selling fungus-infected sweets to customers.

According to complaints, customers accused the outlet of selling old and spoiled stock. After the issue came to light, authorities registered a case and seized the sweet products for testing.

All the seized sweet samples have been sent to the Food Safety Laboratory (FSL) for examination. Further action will be taken based on the lab report.

Food safety officials have urged consumers to report any suspicious or expired food items to ensure strict action against violators.

A software engineer lost his life in a tragic road accident on Friday morning at Iruvaram Cross on the outskirts of Chittoor along the Chittoor–Bengaluru National Highway. The incident occurred when a container being transported on a lorry reportedly fell onto his car, crushing the vehicle and killing him on the spot.
According to preliminary reports, the victim was traveling along the busy highway when the container, allegedly not secured properly, slipped off the heavy vehicle. CCTV Footage | Fatal Road Accident in Srikakulam

A tragic road accident occurred near Ranasthalam in Srikakulam district. At Baruva Junction, a biker carelessly attempted to cross the road, forcing a lorry driver to swerve suddenly to avoid him. The lorry crossed the divider and rammed into a car coming from the opposite direction.

Three people lost their lives in this devastating accident.
