ASBAC Chairman Sol Dodum has raised strong objections over the placement of the organisation’s name in the official notification, claiming that ASBAC was the original force behind the movement.

Dodum stated that ASBAC members had led the agitation from the beginning and even faced imprisonment during the course of the movement. He expressed disappointment that the organisation’s name appeared last in the list despite its leading role.

Dodum further issued an ultimatum to the government to correct the notification by Monday, asserting that ASBAC deserved due recognition for initiating the campaign that ultimately resulted in the consultations and formation of the committees. He warned that democratic forms of protest would be launched in the coming days if the issue remains unaddressed.
