Seppa, August 12: The 10th death anniversary of Late Sangte Bagang was solemnly observed at Patiwa Bagang, Seppa, on Wednesday, with family members, relatives, friends and well-wishers gathering to pay tribute and remember her life.
Born on 12 May 1960, Late Sangte Bagang passed away on 12 August 2016. On the solemn occasion marking a decade since her demise, her loved ones fondly remembered her life, cherished memories and the values she left behind.
The gathering reflected the enduring love and respect of her family and well-wishers, who continue to cherish her memory even after ten years.

In connection with the upcoming 80th Independence Day of India, Shri Karbia Tungi, Zilla Parishad Member (ZPM), 4-Sawa, has appealed to the people of Sawa Circle to actively participate in the celebrations scheduled to be held at the Circle Headquarters, Sawa, on 15th August 2026.

As part of the celebrations, a Mass Social Service will be conducted on 13th and 14th August 2026, covering the stretch from Holling Point, Sawa, to the Circle Headquarters, Sawa.

All PRI leaders, Government officials, Head Gaon Burahs (HGBs), Gaon Burahs (GBs), and the general public of Sawa Circle have been cordially invited to join the social service programme and contribute towards making the Independence Day celebration meaningful and successful.

The initiative reflects the spirit of community participation, unity and collective responsibility, as the people of Sawa come together to celebrate the nation’s 80th Independence Day with pride and enthusiasm.

Seppa, Aug. 3: East Kameng has lost one of its young and dedicated political leaders with the passing of former BJP East Kameng District President and former Zilla Parishad Member (ZPM) of 03-Chayang Tajo, Late Shri Moik Bagang, who breathed his last on Monday after a prolonged illness. He was 36.

Known for his humility, commitment, and grassroots leadership, Bagang devoted years of service to the people of East Kameng through both the Panchayati Raj system and the Bharatiya Janata Party. During his tenure as District BJP President, he played a significant role in strengthening the party organization and championing public welfare initiatives.

His untimely demise has cast a pall of gloom across the district. Leaders from different walks of life, party workers, friends, and well-wishers have expressed profound grief and extended heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family.

Late Shri Moik Bagang will be remembered for his sincere service, dedication to the people, and invaluable contributions to the socio-political development of East Kameng. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
