🚧 Traffic Update | Jammu–Srinagar National Highway (NH-44)
The Jammu–Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) remains closed for traffic from both directions. Maintenance and restoration work is still underway at the Dewal–Samroli stretch.
The highway was temporarily opened to facilitate the movement of stranded vehicles. However, due to the rough and unsafe road surface, restoration work is continuing, and the highway remains closed until further notice.
Commuters are advised to avoid travel on NH-44 and wait for the next official traffic advisory.

A cloudburst was reported in the Chatroo area of Kishtwar district. Several vehicles are believed to have been washed away, and property damage has also been reported. The exact extent of the damage is still being assessed. Fortunately, no loss of life or injuries have been reported.
