A Responsible Step Taken by Sohra Locals
The people of Sohra (Cherrapunjee) have taken a commendable step by banning picnic spots — and it’s truly a wise move.
While tourists enjoy the fresh air, scenic beauty, and clean waters, many sadly leave behind garbage that damages the environment and affects locals.
I’ve often reminded visitors: enjoy the place, but don’t forget your responsibility.
Nature has blessed Sohra — let’s all do our part to protect and preserve it for the future.
