Now the weather will start better improvement in most places of Jammu and Kashmir although showers can occur at few parts till evening.

Dry and sunny weather will back from tomorrow and the dry weather is expected till 30th August across J&K.

The day temperatures will rise again from tomorrow onwards.

MeT Predicts Moderate to Heavy Rains, Thunderstorms in J&K Till July 28

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir is set to receive moderate to heavy rains along with thunderstorms at scattered places till July 28. Flash floods, landslides & shooting stones at vulnerable places are also expected, Meteorological Centre Srinagar forecasted on Sunday.

As per the forecast, the weather on 20 July is expected to remain hot & humid with light to moderate rains along with thundershower at fairly widespread places. The forecast adds that there is possibility of heavy rains at isolated places in Jammu division mainly towards late night/early morning.

On 21 to 24 July, the weather in Jammu and Kashmir will be “generally cloudy” with Intermittent spells of light to moderate rain coupled with thundershower at many places. Intense showers are forecasted at few places with heavy rains at isolated places in J&K.

From 25 to 28 July some places are predicted to experience intense showers whereas heavy rains will lash isolated place in J&K. Yet, scattered places will witness hot and humid weather with the possibility of brief showers in the UT.

Meteorological Centre Srinagar cautioned the public about the possibility of flash floods at few vulnerable places with landslides/mudslides & shooting stones as J&K is expected to receive heavy rains during 21-24th July. it advised the farmers to suspend farm operations during this time.

It warned that water level in rivers, streams and Local nallas areas will rise during the time.
