Air India is facing a crisis, passenger gets off mid-flight
Danger seems to be never leaving Air India. Once, twice, thrice…in the last six days, several planes of this company have faced danger repeatedly. Even after Thursday's terrible accident, Air India has repeatedly created panic in the minds of passengers in these past few days. A sudden mechanical fault was detected in a San Francisco-Mumbai via Kolkata flight, and everyone was taken off the plane midway at the Kolkata airport, keeping in mind the safety of the passengers, according to news sources.
It is learnt that the San Francisco-Mumbai via Kolkata flight landed at Kolkata airport at midnight yesterday. When the AI180, Boeing plane landed in Kolkata, it was around 1:45 am. It was scheduled to take off again at 2 am. Meanwhile, a mechanical fault was detected in the left engine, according to news sources. After several hours of testing, the passengers were deboarded from the plane early Tuesday morning.
Earlier on Monday, an Air India flight from Hong Kong to Delhi was diverted back to Hong Kong mid-flight after a technical glitch was detected mid-air.
Information: Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner flight AI315 took off from Hong Kong on Monday morning. The aircraft was en route to Delhi when the problem was noticed, according to the media report. It is learnt that the pilot decided to return to the original location, following standard safety protocols, to avoid a major accident.
