St. Mary's School, Udharbond has rejected allegations of negligence in connection with the injury of a Class III student and claimed CCTV footage shows teachers administering first aid immediately after the incident.

According to the school, the clash between the students took place during a brief gap between the 6th and 7th periods, when one teacher had left the classroom and the next teacher was yet to arrive. The school said the injured student was attended to without delay and provided first aid.

However, the student's family has alleged that no first aid was administered and that the child remained unattended after sustaining the injury.

The school has also filed a separate complaint alleging that members of the student's family used abusive language against teachers, including derogatory remarks directed at tribal staff members, during a confrontation on the school premises.

Police are currently examining complaints filed by both sides.
