Hello everyone, trust you and your loved ones are doing well and safe. These are difficult times and such times call for desperate measures. We know how the 2nd wave of COVID-19 had hit us hard and the country is going through the worst times in history. With only hopes and prayers, we believe that this too shall pass.
In the wake of the recent scenario due to the pandemic, we have decided to postpone the ‘Smartphone Photography Workshop’ which was initially set to be taken on the 9th of May, 2021 to a later date which we will announce once the situation is visually under control. I, Arup Mazumder, a photographer and filmmaker by professional feel delighted to inform you that I will be hosting a ‘Movie Screening Event’ on the 2nd May 2021 , at PFS Art Cafe, Silchar.
Arup Mazumder Productions along with PAINT FISH STUDIOS is pleased to put together a ‘Movie Screening’ which would be followed by a small discussion. This event would mainly focus on paying tribute to the Maestro of the Bengali Film industry,
The main objective of the ‘MOVING IMAGE PROJECT’ is to create an awareness of cinema studies and the art and craft of motion pictures. The project is a cinema-specific venture which would include learning about cinema, film-making techniques, workshops, artist talks, seminars, film exhibition along with a full-fledged film festival.
I am very excited as well as anticipating you to grace the occasion with your presence as a Guest/Participant.
I would also like to inform you that this upcoming event will also be attended by 30 other participants along with the ‘Chief Guest’ and other dignitaries. My production house will exclusively take charge of following all the safety protocols for COVID-19 and maintain proper hygiene, sanitization, and social-distancing norms as set by the District Administration, Cachar.

Know your Mentor

Mrinmoy Choudhury is a Photo-journalist and has previously worked with Asian Photography Magazine (India's oldest premier photography magazine) and Exhibit Magazine (aTech, Automotive and Lifestyle magazine). He is an alumnus of Udaan School of Photography, Mumbai, and has been trained under the guidance of veteran photojournalists Mr. Arko Datta and Atul Loke and leading names in the industry.

He shares a deep interest in photography and video and had traveled a lot around India covering different assignments and events. He also reviews technology and bikes and is also an avid rider who has already ridden across Ladakh in association with Royal Enfield.

Mrinmoy Choudhury is a Photographer, traveller, Blogger, Photo-Journalist/Writer in Exhibit Magazine, Mumbai.
