The visiting team from the Urban Management Centre undertook an extensive and immersive field study aimed at assessing the SWM value chain across the municipal area. During their visit, the team closely observed the operational aspects of waste management and engaged directly with stakeholders to identify gaps and explore opportunities for improvement.
The assessment began with a comprehensive review of key urban sites including prominent market areas, the transfer station, and selected municipal wards. The team’s walkthrough of these areas provided first-hand insights into both the progress made by the Corporation and the challenges that still need to be addressed.
