I always used to think that I am a beach person (because I love the ocean) while I couldn’t resonate with the characteristics of a beach person. Then when I visited the mountains ‘properly’ I realised that I am a mountain person… and since then the love has only grown and grown…..

For the first time ever we did so many pandal hopping and I am still recovering from that frenzy 😄🤩💓 And also it was ‘s first ever upclose Pujo celebration 💓
I haven’t clicked much as I was too engrossed in the beauty of Maa and the decor around, yet I have so many pictures that I will be posting them all …..

Happy Independence Day BUT ….. (swipe)

First time in 78 years, The Indian Flag has not been hoisted in my home. Flag hoisting is done religiously at our home every year, as Independence Day and Republic Day is not lesser than Durga Pujo and Diwali for us.
But this year, it didn’t feel like Independence day at all !!
What’s the meaning of Independence when I need to think a hundred times before stepping out alone even in the morning - be it my hometown or be it any other city of my country!!

A country who is denoted by the term ‘Maa’ & ‘Maata’, faces all the heinous crimes against women that someone can’t even, in their absurd imagination, think is possible!!

Even when women decided to show up at night to reclaim our independence , back of the mind all we had to think was - Will we be safe ??!!!

What nonsense truly !!

As much as it hurts to say this (but unfortunately is 100% true) -
Our country fosters the most inhumane criminals who don’t even regret (in fact, are proud most of the times) after committing the nerve wrecking crimes!

It pains in the heart to admit -
I am ashamed of my Country and I am ashamed of my (Home) State 😞
