Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Arrives at Bagdogra Airport

Siliguri: Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, the Hon’ble Union Minister of Culture and Tourism has landed in Bagdogra airport.

Upon arrival, he was accorded a warm welcome by Ms. Sharmista Pradhan, Additional Secretary, Home Protocol & team and officials from Tourism Bagdogra from Bagdogra Unit and Liaison Officer Shri Ashok Chettri, Divisional Engineer, Buildings and Housing Department.

He is scheduled to visit Sikkim on an official tour from May 28 to 29, 2026. During the visit, he will participate in review meetings and interact with the District Administration, local youth, and tourism stakeholders in Soreng District. He will also visit the Trout Farming Centre at Sribadam.

खरसाङ (27 मई ): खरसाङको लङ्भ्यू चियाबारीको समस्यालाई लिएर खरसाङस्थित लेबर अफिसमा लङभ्यू कमानको मालिक र प्रबन्धक पक्षलाई सभा बोलाइएको थियो। उक्त सभालाई लिएर अनशनमा बसेका श्रमिकहरुले प्रतिक्रिया दिएका छन्। सभामा कुनै पनि पार्टीको युनियन र कुनै पनि श्रमिकहरुलाई नबोलाइएको भन्दै यस विषयमा लङ्भ्यू चियाबारीको श्रमिकहरुले प्रतिक्रिया दिएका छन्।‌
श्रमिकहरुले प्रतिक्रिया दिँदै भने, यो निरन्तर 3 वर्षदेखिको आन्दोलन केवल हाजिरा अनि वेतन भुक्तानी मात्र नभएर श्रमिकहरुको पीएफ अनि ग्राजुयटी भुक्तानी लिएर हो। जबसम्म जम्मा‌ बकाया राशि भुक्तानी हुँदैन तबसम्म अनशन जारी रहने छ।
