३५औँ नेपाली भाषा दिवसको अवसरमा "सिक्किम अकादेमी पाठक–२०२६" जस्तो दूरदर्शी, सिर्जनात्मक र रचनात्मक पहलको थालनी गरेकोमा सिक्किम अकादेमीलाई हार्दिक बधाई तथा कृतज्ञता व्यक्त गर्दछौँ ।
आजको डिजिटल युगमा, जब युवा पुस्तामाझ पुस्तक पढ़्ने, पढ़ेको कृतिमथि चिन्तन, चर्चा र बहस गर्ने संस्कार क्रमशः क्षीण हुँदै गएको अनुभूति भइरहेको छ, यस्तो पठन चुनौतिले नयाँ पुस्तालाई पुस्तकसँग पुनः जोड़्ने, साहित्य र सृजनशीलताप्रति आकर्षित गर्ने र आलोचनात्मक तथा सिर्जनशील सोचको विकास गराउने महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका खेल्नेछ । यो केवल प्रतियोगिता मात्र नभई, ज्ञान, चिन्तन र साहित्यप्रतिको प्रेमलाई पुनर्जीवित गर्ने एउटा प्रेरणादायी समयोचित अभियान हो । यस्तो पहलले नेपाली साहित्यको प्रवर्द्धनका दिशामा लेखक र प्रकाशकहरूलाई समेत नयाँ ऊर्जा दिने निश्चित छ ।

An attack on Rahul Sankrityayan is an attack on India's pro-people intellectual history!

BukAnt Publication House strongly condemns the vandalism of the statue of Mahapandit Rahul Sankrityayan in Raniganj, West Bengal, committed during the night of 12 July 2026.
This is not merely an act of damage to a statue; it is a grave assault on India's rich intellectual, literary, and cultural heritage. Rahul Sankrityayan was one of the country's foremost scholars, historians, travellers, philosophers, and writers, whose immense contributions to literature, history, linguistics, and the promotion of scientific temper continue to inspire generations. His legacy transcends political, regional, and ideological boundaries.
We urge the concerned authorities to conduct a prompt and impartial investigation into this incident and to take strict legal action against those responsible. Such acts of vandalism undermine the values of knowledge, tolerance, and respect upon which a democratic and civilized society is built.
We also appeal to all citizens to uphold the dignity of our shared cultural heritage. Differences in opinion or ideology can never justify the destruction of monuments dedicated to eminent personalities who have enriched the nation's intellectual and cultural landscape.
Rahul Sankrityayan was not merely an individual; he symbolized the spirit of knowledge, inquiry, rational thought, and cultural exchange. Any attack on his legacy is an attack on the collective intellectual heritage of India.

सलह उपन्यास पढेँ । केही वर्षयता नेपाली उपन्यास पढेर यति धेरै भावुक बनेको यो पहिलो अनुभव हो । नायुमाको यात्राले धेरै ठाउँमा मेरा आँखा रसाए, कतिपय ठाउँमा त आँसु नै झऱ्यो । सजिलै नपग्लिने मेरो मनलाई सलहले पगालिदियो। हाँस्ने स्पेस पनि राखेका छन् धेरै ठाउँ मज्जाले एक्लै हाँसेँ । म एकपल्ट धेरै लामो समयपछि कुनै किताब पढेर त्यसमा रहेका पात्र पात्राहरूसितै एकाकार भएँ। कवि श्रावण मुकारुङका कविताको जादूले धेरैपल्ट छोएको हो । कविताको त्यो मादकता आख्यानमा झनै तिक्खर भएर आउनु कविबाट आख्यानकारमा मेटामर्फोसिस भएका श्रवण मुकारूणको यो कायान्तरणले मन्थिङ्गल हल्लाइरहेको छ ।
मलाई लाग्छ यो माद धेरै दिनसम्म ममा रहिरहनेछ। आख्यानका हरेक पोटागोनिष्टले अहिले भर्खरैलाई बोकिल्याएको छ। सलहमा आख्यानकारको चमत्कार भनेको पनि त्यही हो, लाग्छ नै। उनले समाज बोकिदिएका छन् । मिथ र बिम्बको कस्तो खतरना प्रयोग जुन कही पनि अनर्थ लाग्दैन। अहिलेसम्म नेपाली उपन्यासमा देखिएको स्थानीक र लेख्नेले प्रतिनिधित्व गर्ने जाति विशेष या त्यहाँको पर्यावरण फरकै पाराले नयाँ स्थापित गर्ने प्रयासमा श्रवण मुकारुङ सफल लाग्छ। राई संस्कृति परम्परा, नेवार, छेत्री, तामाङ, बाहुन, गुरुङ तथा मधेश मूल हुँदै नेपालीहरूको बसाई सराई। युके, हङकङ, कोरियादेखि छोटो वाक्यमा केही शब्दहरूमा सिक्किम,दार्जीलिङ र असमको नाउ समेतमा समेटेर कथा बुनिभ्याएका छन् ।
राजनीतिले मानिसमा पार्ने फरकपन त झनै छर्लङ्ग छ। तर यता बेसी लेखिनँ । नेपाली कथा हुँदा हुँदै पनि वैश्विक र मान्छेको कथा हो सलह। कथान्तले झनै मलाई आख्यानकार मुकारूङ कवि पहिले भएर पछि आख्यानमा ओर्लिनुको शक्ति र चमत्कार पढ्न पाएँ। साँच्चै कवि श्रावण मुकारूङ नभएका भए आख्यानकार श्रवण मुकारूङले सलह रूप धरेर यत्तिको चमत्कार गर्न सक्थेन् कि लागिरहेको छ ।
पढ्नै पर्ने आख्यान आयो। शब्द, भाव र बिम्बहरूको सलहका हुलले मलाई अझै केही समयसम्म घेरीरहनेछ । नायुमाको यात्रा, उसका संघर्ष र उसका सपनाहरूले पाठकलाई केवल कथा पढ्ने होइन, कथा बाँच्ने अनुभव दिन्छन् । एउटी पहाडी केटीको यात्रा यत्ति चमत्कारिक ढङ्गमा लेखिदिनु भएकोमा श्रवण दाजुलाई फेरि पनि धन्यवाद ।
