53 Womens Died in Madhya Pradesh Sidhi District

53 women died before, during, or after childbirth in Madhya Pradesh’s Sidhi district between April 2025 and March 2026.
Reports state that several health centres lacked doctors and specialists. In some remote villages, pregnant women reportedly had to be carried on cots for 2–3 km just to reach an ambulance.

The issue became so serious that the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) took suo motu cognisance and issued a notice to the Madhya Pradesh government.
If a mother cannot get timely medical care, what does that say about the value of an ordinary citizen’s life?

Chai originated in ancient India as an Ayurvedic medicinal beverage made from herbs and spices. The modern milky, sweetened masala chai evolved during the 1800s and 1900s when British colonists established plantations in Assam and Darjeeling to break China’s tea monopoly.
