Fire Outbreak Report – Sisa Golai (13/01/2025)

A major fire broke out on 13th January 2025 around 12:30 P.M. at Sisa Golai completely destroying a three-storied wooden house owned by Mr. Padam Bahadur Thapa. In addition, three nearby homes sustained partial damage. These homes belong to Mr Mohan Basnett, Ms Amravati Chettriand Ms Sushila Basnett.

The site was immediately inspected by SDM Gangtok, Mr Mahendra Chettri and Training Officer, DDMA, Ms BijayataKharel.

The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.

Upon receiving the report, the fire department was quickly deployed and local volunteers played a significant role in dousing the fire. There are no casualties reported due to the fire.

It was discovered that there were tenants residing in the house that was completely destroyed. The tenants are as follows:
1. Sandeep Sundas (son of the late Kedar Sundas)
2. Roshan Sundas (son of the late Kedar Sundas)
3. Pushpa Sundas (wife of the late Kedar Sundas)
4. Mukesh Chettri (son of the late D.R. Chettri)
5. Suku Doma Lepcha (daughter of Sonam Lepcha)
6. Baichung Lepcha (son of Sonam Lepcha)
7. Arjun Sharma
8. Bal Krishna Karki Dholi (son of the late J.B. Karki Dholi)
9. Umesh Sharma (son of Dularchand Sharma)
10. Abdul Rehman

It is to be mentioned here that the Ex gratia will be disbursed as per SDRF norms.

इण्डियन गोर्खा जनशक्ति फ्रण्ड,मा समर्थन जनाउँनेहरूको घुइचो।खरसाङ बजारको गोर्खा जन पुस्तकालय,मा आज इण्डियन गोर्खा जनशक्ति फ्रण्ड,को सभा सम्पन्न भयो।आयोजित सभामा इण्डियन गोर्खा जनशक्ति फ्रण्ड,को संयोजक अजय एडवाडर्स विशेष रूपमा उपस्थित रहेका थिए।त्यसरी नै आईजीजेएमको बरिष्ठ कार्यकर्ता एंव जीटीए सभाको पूर्व अध्यक्ष प्रदीप प्रधान आदि उपस्थित रहेका थिए। सभामा खरसाङ नगरपालिका क्षेत्रका धेरैवटा वार्डहरू बाट 65 परिवारहरूले इण्डियन गोर्खा जनशक्ति फ्रण्ड,माथि आस्था र भरोसा राख्दै पार्टीको झण्डा समाए। त्यसरी नै खरसाङ सिपाही धूराबाट 26 परिवार,मालटारबाट 13 परिवार,मार्गेहोपबाट 13,बलबम बस्ती, गौरी शंकर,रंगबुल,धोतरिया मुण्डा कोठीबाट 25 परिवार साथै खरसाङ महकुमा अन्तर्गत मंग्पूबाट 12 परिवारहरूले इण्डियन गोर्खा जनशक्ति फ्रण्ड,माथि आस्था र भरोसा राख्दै पार्टीमा सामेल भए।यी समर्थकहरूलाई प्रदीप प्रधान,एल्फ्रेड तामाङले आईजीजेएफमा न्यानो स्वागत जनाउँदै पार्टीको झण्डा सोम्पिए।दार्जीलिङ पहाडमा धेरैवटा राजनैतिक पार्टीहरू छन तर कुनै पनि राजनैतिक दल स्वतन्त्र छैनन।कसै को कोलकतामा मालिक छन भने,कसैको दिल्लीमा,त्यसैकारण पहाडको कुनै पनि राजनैतिक दलहरूको नेतृत्वहरूले स्वतन्त्र भएर गोर्खा जाति र पहाडको हितमा काम गर्न सक्दैन,पहाड र गोर्खा जातिको बारेमा बोल्न परेको खण्डमा उनीहरूले कोलकता अथवा दिल्लीको अनुमति लिनु पर्नेछ तर इण्डियन गोर्खा जनशक्ति फ्रण्ड,मा यस्तो पार्टी हो जसले गोर्खा जातिको हक र अधिकार साथै पहाड तराई डुवर्सको हितमा निर्डरसंग बोल्न सक्छ अनि काम गर्न सक्छ। इण्डियन गोर्खा जनशक्ति फ्रण्ड गोर्खाहरूको जातिया मुद्वालाई फते गर्न जन्मेको पार्टी हो।त्यसैले गोर्खा जातिको मुद्वालाई प्राथमिकताको साथ राख्ने गरेको छ। पहाड तराई डुवर्स एंव गोर्खाहरूको मुद्वा बारे इण्डियन गोर्खा जनशक्ति फ्रण्ड,ले कसैसंग सम्झौता गर्न सक्दैन।पिता पूर्खाले सिचेको भूभाग बारे आईजीजेएफले कसैसंग सम्झौता गर्न सक्दैन।इण्डियन गोर्खा जनशक्ति फ्रण्ड,मा सामेल भएका समर्थकहरूले खरसाङ बजारमा मौन जुलुस पनि निकाल्यो।
