মুলখারকা ভ্রমন:
প্রিয়জনদের নিয়ে কোনো অফবিট স্থানে নিরবিলি তে কটি দিন কাটাতে চাইছেন? তা হলে চট্পট্ ব্যাগ প্যাক করে ঘুড়ে আসুন মূলখারকা গ্রামটিতে। শিলিগুড়ি থেকে প্রায় ১৩০ কিলোমিটার দূরে, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ এবং সিকিম সীমান্তে, নেওরাভ্যালির খুব কাছেই অবস্থিত এই ছোট্টো গ্রামটিতে রয়েছে একটি পবিত্র হ্রদ, যা এই জায়গায় মূল আকর্ষন। মুলখারকা গ্রাম থেকে প্রায় ৪৫ মিনিট হেটে অথবা গাড়িতে পৌছে যেতে পারবেন মুলখারকা লেকটিতে। চারদিকে সবুজ পাইন গাছে ঘেরা শান্ত এই হ্রদে আবহাওয়া পরিস্কার থাকলে দেখতে পাওয়া যায় কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘার প্রতিফলন।

নেওরাভ্যালি ন্যাশনাল পার্কের নিকটে অবস্থিত হওয়ায় Red Panda, Asian Black Bear, Yellow Throated Martin সহ বিভিন্ন প্রজাতির পাখির ( Verditer Flycatcher, Yellow Billed Magpie, Satyr Tragopan, Wards Trogon, Russet Sparrow, Sunbird etc) দেখা পাওয়া যায় এখানে। তাই যারা পাখি দেখতে ভালোবাসেন, অথবা যারা ট্রেকার কিংবা ফোটোগ্রাফার, তাদের জন্য খুবই পছন্দের ঠিকানা হতে পারে মুলখারকা।

মুলখারকা ঘুড়তে যাওয়ার আদর্শ সময় অক্টোবর থেকে মে মাস পর্যন্ত। শুধু মুলখারকা গ্রামটি ঘুড়ে দেখতে চাইলে দুই রাত তিন দিন পর্যাপ্ত।
