A splash of red and a proud crest amidst the greenery of the foothills!

​Spotted this lively Red-whiskered Bulbul (Pycnonotus jocosus)—famously known in Bengali as 'সিপাহী বুলবুলি' (Sepoy Bulbuli) or 'লাল-গাল বুলবুলি' (Lal-gal Bulbuli)—perched gracefully along the winding tracks of Rongtong. Their cheery calls and vibrant red cheek patches never fail to brighten up a birding walk in the hills!
