POET Aqeel Nomani is a well-known Urdu poet recognized for his ghazals, nazms, and mushaira performances. Considered an
international poet, he was born in 1958 and is associated with Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, particularly the town of Meeranj.
He writes classical Urdu poetry, including ghazals and nazms that often express love, emotions, social themes, and philosophical reflections. His simple yet deeply expressive style has made him popular in mushairas across India and abroad, and many of his performances appear on platforms like Rekhta and YouTube.
