Veteran Hurriyat Leader Prof Abdul Gani Bhat Passes Away in Sopore

Former Hurriyat chairman, Professor Abdul Gani Bhat died on Wednesday at his residence Botingoo Sopore, after a brief illness.

According to the family, Bhat breathed his last today after a brief illness and his funeral prayer will be offered today at 11.30 pm at his native village Botingoo Sopore.

Amid the ongoing Sewa Parv campaign, MLA Sopore along with the Director of Local Bodies Kashmir visited Sopore on Wednesday and interacted with municipal employees and students at Iqbal Market. During the interaction, the MLA appreciated the efforts of municipal workers in maintaining cleanliness and urged them to continue their dedication towards building a cleaner and healthier Sopore. Haji Abdul Hameed Antoo, resident of Muslim Peer Sopore, passed away at SKIMS Soura.
He was the father of the Riyaz Ahmad Antoo and Javed Ahmad Antoo.
