At least eight students were injured while
over two dozen girl students fainted during
clashes in Sopore town of north Kashmir’s
Baramulla district on Thursday.Witnesses
said that around eight to ten students were
injured after being hit by teargas shells
during theclashes.They said that around 20
girl students of Govt Girls Higher Secondary
School fainted due to tear smoke during the
clashes.All the injured were shifted to Sub-
district Hospital Sopore for treatment.Hundr
eds of students took to streetsand clashed
with government forces against a police
crackdown on DegreeCollege Pulwama on
April 15 that leftover 50 students injured...........

Two Billawar college girls seriously injured
in accident
March 25, 2017
Jammu, In a hit and run case two college
girls seriously injured when the scooty they
were riding was hit by a speeding Scorpio
vehicle in Billawar today. The two girls
identified as Meenakshi Devi and Manisha
Rani were riding a scooty when a speeding
Scorpio hit them from back and fled the
spot. Both got seriously injured
The girls were first admitted to local hospital
in Billawar and were later shifted to
Government Medical College Hospital
Jammu. The police is in look out for the
Scorpio.

ANNOUNCED 10-DAY SUMMER
VACATIONS IN JAMMU & KASHMIR
COLLEGES

Srinagar: Government has announced 10- days
summer vacation in all colleges across the state
from tomorrow.
According to a notification issued by Director
Colleges, Higher Education Department, the
colleges shall remain closed from July 2 in view
of prevailing heat wave conditions.
“All Government Colleges of Kashmir division and
winter zones of Jammu division shall remain
closed in connection with summer vacation from
July 2 to July 11.”
Earlier, today government announced summer
vacation from July 4 to August 2, 2016in all
Government and Private Polytechnic Colleges of
the State, except Leh and Kargil.
According to a notification issued by Director,
Technical Education, it is impressed upon all the
Principals of Government Polytechnic Colleges of
the State that the staff engaged on academic
arrangement shall not be retained during the
summer vacatio
