Sun Pharma Donates Relief Among 200 Flood-Affected Families in Kathua
In a continued effort to provide support to communities devastated by the recent floods in Jammu & Kashmir, ELFA International, in close collaboration with the District Administration Kathua and with the generous support of Sun Pharma, organised a relief distribution program for flood-affected families in District Kathua.
As part of the initiative, relief material comprising of Ration Kits (Rice, Cooking Oil, Flour Aata, Salt, Tea Leaves, Red Chilli Powder, Turmeric and Ghee), Blankets, Shawls and Clothing were distributed among 200 families severely impacted by the floods. The program aimed to provide immediate relief to the affected households and reaffirm solidarity with communities struggling to rebuild their lives in the aftermath of the disaster.
The distribution drive was attended by key dignitaries and senior officials from the DC office and CEO ELFA International Mr. Nawab Mehran Khan, and senior ELFA International representatives Ms. Heena Khan and Mr. Varun Khajuria, CSR Executive Ms. Priyanka Talwar from Sun Pharma.
Mr. Chandrashekar Gowda AVP Corporate Affairs Sun Pharma underscored Sun Pharma’s strong commitment to community welfare through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. He said, “As part of its CSR initiative, Sun Pharma is committed to supporting relief response programs in times of crisis and will continue to extend its support wherever and whenever it is needed.”
CEO ELFA International, Mr. Nawab Mehran Khan, expressed gratitude to Sun Pharma and the District Administration Kathua for their timely support, noting that collaborative partnerships between civil society organisations, corporate entities, and government institutions are crucial for addressing humanitarian crises effectively.
This initiative reflects the spirit of collective responsibility and compassion, reinforcing the importance of coordinated action in mitigating the hardships faced by vulnerable communities during natural disasters.
