India and Israel concluded a bilateral investment agreement in New Delhi during the visit of Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich. The pact aims to expand cooperation in trade, finance, fintech, cybersecurity, and defence. India’s Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman called it a milestone for bilateral relations.
The signing took place as Israel faces international legal scrutiny over its actions in Gaza. More than 64,500 Palestinians have been killed since October 2023, while Israel continues to face charges at the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.
