Hey guys,
Monsoon season is here and many of you are planning to visit valley of flowers and Hemkund sahib..We are already getting so many questions about this trek so thought of posting an itinerary which might help you .
Let’s know in comments if you need more information about this trek
DAY1:

Delhi -> Rishikesh (250km, 5-6hours drive)
You can choose to travel by train or bus both options are available
DAY2 :
———
Rishikesh -> Joshimath(260km, 10-11 hours drive)
Local buses are available from Rishikesh to Joshimath
DAY3:
———
Rest; Explore Joshimath(Narsingh Temple, shri shankracharya Math or you can take Ropeway to Auli and explore Auli)
DAY4:
———
Joshimath -> Govindgath (20km drive)
Local buses or taxis are available from Joshimath to Govindgath
Govindghath -> Phulna (4 km)
Here you have to take local taxi which charge around 50-60 rps per person, your personal vehicle is not allowed
Phulna-> Ghangariya ( 10km trek)
Last 5-6 km is really steep, some food/ snack options are available on the way
DAY 5:

Ghangaria -> Hemkund Sahib -> Ghangaria(6km trek in one direction; total 12km trek)
Stay at Hemkund sahib is not allowed so you have to reach there by 2 pm and return back to Ghangariya..the trek is really steep so keep yourself light.
1 or 2 food snack option was available on the way ..which might change due to covid
carry enough water and you can get water and khichdi prasada at gurudwara.
DAY 6:

Ghangaria -> Valley of flowers -> Ghangaria(9-10 km in one direction, mostly easy terrains ; total 20 km
Camping/ Stay is not allowed at valley of flowers so you have to come back to Ghangariya same day and have to report back at gate by 5 PM.
No food/snacks options available at valley of flower so pack your food in advance.
And keep enough water with you.
DAY 7:

Ghangaria -> Joshimath by Govindgath (10km trek and 24 km drive)
DAY 8:
———
Joshimath -> Delhi(510km, 15-16 hours)
You can break it to Joshimath->Rishikesh->delhi
and can spent one day at Rishikesh
ProTip - if you have one more day, visit Badrinath temple( one of char dham) Just 25km away from Govindgath.
