ANANTNAG, MAY 26:

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat (IAS), has extended his warmest greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially the residents of district Anantnag, on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

In his message, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that Eid-ul-Adha embodies the timeless values of devotion, compassion, and selflessness, drawing inspiration from the profound sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS). He urged the people to celebrate the festival with deep empathy and inclusiveness, calling on society to support needy and marginalized communities to ensure their active participation in the festivities.

On this auspicious occasion, the DC prayed for the peace, progress, and prosperity of the UT and the country at large. He expressed hope that the festival will further strengthen the spirit of unity and brotherhood among communities, leading society toward harmony and cohesion.

*SSP Anantnag Reviews Ground Preparedness for SANJY-2026, Interacts with Civil Society Members*

Anantnag, May 26:
SSP Anantnag, Shri Amod Ashok Nagpure-IPS conducted a comprehensive on-ground review of arrangements along the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra route in the district as part of the preparations for SANJY-2026.

During the visit, the SSP inspected key locations on the Yatra axis and assessed various aspects related to security preparedness, traffic regulation, emergency response mechanisms, and pilgrim facilitation measures. He directed officers concerned to ensure meticulous planning and seamless coordination among all stakeholders for the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.

The SSP also interacted with civil society members and local representatives at various locations along the route. Discussions were held regarding the upcoming Yatra, local concerns, and measures required to ensure a peaceful and conducive atmosphere for the devotees. The participants shared their views and assured their cooperation in facilitating the smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage.

Emphasizing the importance of coordinated efforts, Shri Amod Ashok Nagpure stated that the successful conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra requires close cooperation between the police, civil administration, and local community. He reiterated the commitment of Anantnag Police to ensuring a safe, secure, and hassle-free pilgrimage for all devotees.

The visit forms part of the district police's continued efforts to review preparedness and strengthen coordination ahead of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026.
