Two Women Injured in Stabbing Incident in Budgam

Budgam, Sept 29, KNT: Two women from central Kashmir’s Budgam district were injured on Monday after being stabbed with a sharp-edged weapon during a domestic altercation, officials said.

The victims, (names withheld) both residents of Ganie Mohalla, Budgam, were initially taken to District Hospital Budgam before being referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for specialised treatment.

According to attendants, the duo sustained injuries after being attacked by a known woman inside their home. One suffered an injury to the left side of her upper abdomen, while another sustained a stab wound to her face.

Doctors at SMHS confirmed that both victims are out of danger. “They are stable and under observation. Necessary medical care has been provided,” they told the news agency Kashmir News Trust.

*MEDIA TEAM OF MINISTRY OF TRIBAL AFFAIRS VISITS CHANDAJI, ARAGAM GOJERPATI VILLAGES OF BANDIPORA*

Bandipora, September 29: The Media Team of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs today visited Chandaji Village of Block Bankoot and Aragam Gojerpati in Bandipora district, where they received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from the local residents.

At Chandaji, the team conducted a village walk, visited several households, and interacted with the villagers to listen to their issues, aspirations, and sentiments. The visit turned into a festive occasion as children of the village took out a colourful rally, which filled the entire atmosphere with joy and excitement.

The villagers expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan, stating that the ongoing campaign has not only raised awareness among the people but has also instilled a new sense of hope and optimism. They affirmed that the initiative is more than just a scheme—it is a message of progress and a pathway towards a brighter future for the tribal communities.

During their tour, the Media Team also visited Aragam Gojerpati, where they interacted with locals and noted their active participation in the campaign. The people of the area similarly expressed satisfaction with the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan, acknowledging its role in creating awareness and strengthening socio-economic development at the grassroots level.

On the occasion, officers of the District Administration were also present, further strengthening the engagement between the officials and the local community.

The visit by the Media Team underscored the transformative impact of the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan in uniting communities and laying the foundation for inclusive growth and empowerment across tribal areas of Bandipora.
