J&K ACB traps and arrests Nazir Ahmad Wani, Ziladar and Bilal Ahmad Wagay, Patwari of Irrigation Division Anantnag for demanding and accepting bribe of ₹1,00,000

Srinagar 21 May, 2026: Anti Corrupting Bureau received a written complaint from the complainant stating therein that Ziladar namely Nazir Ahmad Wani S/o Mohd Akbar Wani R/o Utrasoo Najigund Anantnag and Patwari namely Bilal Ahmad Wagay S/o Abdul Rehman Wagay R/o Sherpora Anantnag posted in Irrigation Division Anantnag are demanding a bribe of ₹1,00,000 from him for disposal of an application/complaint which has been filed against him regarding the alleged encroachment of Govt. land at Ashajipora near Dabruna Anantnag.

اننت ناگ میں فلاح دارین ٹرسٹ کی جانب سے نشہ مُکت ابھیان کے تحت ایک اہم بیداری پروگرام کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ پروگرام میں علما کرام، معزز شہریوں اور مقامی لوگوں کی بڑی تعداد نے شرکت کی۔ اس موقع پر علما کرام نے اپنے خطابات میں منشیات کے نقصانات پر تفصیل سے روشنی ڈالتے ہوئے کہا کہ نشہ ایک خطرناک سماجی برائی ہے جو نوجوان نسل کے مستقبل کو تباہ کر رہی ہے۔ انہوں نے نشے کے خلاف اجتماعی جدوجہد کی ضرورت پر زور دیا اور اس کے سدباب کے لیے دینی و اخلاقی اقدار کو اپنانے کی تلقین کی۔ مقررین نے یو ٹی لیفٹیننٹ گورنر کی جانب سے نشہ مُکت ابھیان شروع کرنے اور جموں و کشمیر پولیس کی طرف سے منشیات فروشوں کے خلاف جاری کریک ڈاؤن کو سراہتے ہوئے انہیں مبارکباد پیش کی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ اقدامات معاشرے کو اس لعنت سے پاک کرنے کی سمت ایک مثبت قدم ہیں۔ پروگرام کے دوران مقررین نے عوام سے اپیل کی کہ وہ پولیس اور سول انتظامیہ کے ساتھ مکمل تعاون کریں تاکہ منشیات کے خاتمے کی اس مہم کو کامیاب بنایا جا سکے۔ آخر میں شرکاء نے نشہ مُکت معاشرے کے قیام کے عزم کا اعادہ کیا۔
