*Most Schools Reopen in Kashmir, 40 Remain Shut Due to Waterlogging: Director Education*

Srinagar, Sept 8 (KNS): Schools across Kashmir reopened on Monday, except for 40 institutions that remain closed due to waterlogging and their use as rehabilitation centres for flood-affected families.

Director School Education, G N Itoo, told Kashmir News Service KNS that staff will remain present in these schools and online classes will be conducted for students until the situation improves.(KNS)

If proper work had been done after the 2014 floods, the situation would not be like this today. The money had come for flood relief, but where was the use of that money? Now we have to ask for an answer: J&K CM Omar Abdullah during his visit to South Kashmir
