Bijbehara: Iltija M***i Urges Aid for Poor Family in Khiram Village

Bijbehara, July 19: Iltija M***i today visited Khiram village in the Bijbehara constituency, where she came across a poor family living in a tin shed under harsh conditions. Despite having applied for an IAY (Indira Awaas Yojana) hut, the family is yet to receive any assistance. Highlighting their plight amid extreme winters and scorching summers, M***i appealed to the administration to expedite the process and provide the family with immediate shelter support.

The Shah Re Khass Traders and Chambers conducted an emergency meeting through teleconferencing, where he led the gathering to share their deep grief and extend their heartfelt condolences on the demise of Noor Mohd Sofi (Brother In law of Bashir Ahmad Kanu) R/o Khawja Bazar Naqasband sahab. CIK raids underway at 10 locations in Valley in terror recruitment case

Srinagar, July 19 (KNO): The Counter-Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) unit of Jammu and Kashmir Police is conducting searches at ten locations across four districts in the Valley.

An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the raids are part of an ongoing investigation into a terror-crime case linked to a terrorist sleeper cell and recruitment module handled by Jaish commander Abdullah Ghazi from across the border.

The searches are underway at one location in Pulwama, six in Ganderbal, one in Srinagar, and two in Budgam district—(KNO)

Woman Injured in Parimpora Srinagar Accident Succumbs

3-Year-Old Child Critical, Father Stable; Truck Driver Arrested

Srinagar, July 18 (JKNS): A 36-year-old woman who was among three family members injured in a road accident near the Mandi area of Parimpora, Srinagar, on Friday evening has succumbed to her injuries. The couple’s 3-year-old son remains in critical condition.

Officials told news agency JKNS that the deceased has been identified as Nusrat, wife of Bilal Ahmad Kumar, a resident of Charar-i-Sharief in Budgam. She had suffered a limb amputation in the accident and was declared critical before succumbing at JVC Hospital in Bemina.

Her husband, Bilal Ahmad, son of Abdul Salaam Kumar, aged 40, is reported to be stable. Their 3-year-old son, Hami, also sustained serious injuries and continues to remain in critical condition, officials added.

All three were rushed to JVC Hospital immediately after the accident. However, Nusrat later succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

Police have arrested the truck driver involved in the incident and initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the mishap. (JKNS)
