Molvi Imran Ansari Launches Digital Membership Portal for All Jammu & Kashmir Shia Association
Srinagar, October 6: President of the All Jammu & Kashmir Shia Association, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari, along with Vice President Irfan Raza Ansari, today soft-launched the much-awaited digital membership portal for the Association.
The launch marks the beginning of a new era of transparency, participation, and digital inclusion within the Association. This initiative comes in response to a long-pending demand from youth across various districts, including Srinagar, Pulwama, Budgam, Bandipora, and Baramulla, who had been urging for a structured membership and electoral process within the organization.
Speaking on the occasion, Molvi Imran Ansari said,
“For the first time, our members will have access to a digital platform that not only registers them but also empowers them with voting rights. This portal will help us create a transparent, democratic structure from the ground up, from Mohalla presidents to district and provincial representatives. The youth wanted ownership and participation, and we are delivering that today.”
The new system enables volunteers to visit designated Imam Baras and community points, where teams equipped with laptops will register members. The registration process will collect essential details including name, date of birth, qualification, profession, and blood group etc. Once registered, members will receive a digital membership card that also grants them voting rights within the Association’s democratic structure.
Molvi Imran added that the database will serve multiple community needs.
“This portal will become a social resource as well, if a person requires blood, or if a skilled member is looking for a job opportunity, the system will help us connect them directly. It’s not just about membership; it’s about building a connected, responsive community.”
The membership drive is set to officially begin on October 20, starting with Budgam district, where volunteers and registration points have already been finalized. A detailed schedule and district-wise roster will be made public on October 15.
The initiative aims to institutionalize grassroots democracy within the Association, ensuring that every member has a voice in electing their area’s representatives — from local elders to state-level leadership.
Irfan Raza Ansari added,
“This is a visionary step that will strengthen organizational unity and youth participation across Jammu and Kashmir. Our goal is to create a transparent, accountable, and people-driven structure for the future.”
