In a significant enforcement action, Forest Department officials led by Ranger Rajwar, Mr. Bashir Ahmad Seer, seized approximately 68 feet of illicit timber (Kairu species) from Compartment 26 near Mohaldar Top, Wader Bala Rajwar.

Forest officials, including field staff, documented the site and took immediate steps to secure the seized timber. As of now, further investigation is underway to identify the individuals involved in this illegal activity.

The Forest Department has reiterated its commitment to protecting forest resources and warned that strict action will be taken against anyone found involved in illegal felling or transportation of timber

The felicitation ceremony was held at GD Goenka Public School Handwara and was organized by the District Kupwara Soft Tennis Association under the banner of the J&K Amateur Soft Tennis Association, in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council.
