Indian Viral Army Proposal May Get Dismissal Notice After Breach of Protocol Concerns

Captain Bharat Bhardwaj’s romantic proposal and helicopter ride with his girlfriend after an Army Aviation training ceremony has gone viral online, but the Indian Army has reportedly expressed displeasure over the use of an official military event and Army assets for a personal moment.

A highly publicized proposal by Indian Army officer Captain Bharat Bhardwaj after completing his flight training at the Combat Army Aviation Training School (CAATS), Nashik, has now drawn official attention from Army authorities.

Captain Bhardwaj proposed to his girlfriend Arushi on June 2, shortly after the passing-out parade and aviation display. Dressed in ceremonial uniform, he went down on one knee in front of an Army helicopter and presented her with an engagement ring. Arushi accepted the proposal as family members, fellow officers, instructors and guests applauded the couple.

Videos of the proposal quickly went viral on social media, with many users condemning what they described as the misuse of official authority and military resources. Critics questioned the use of taxpayer-funded assets for a personal celebration, while others defended the officer, calling it a harmless and memorable gesture.

According to reports, Army authorities are reviewing the incident over possible breaches of protocol and professional conduct. No official announcement regarding disciplinary action has been made so far.
