🚨 Drug Peddler Arrested in Ganderbal During Anti-Drug Drive 🚨

As part of the ongoing “Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan” aimed at making Jammu & Kashmir drug-free, Ganderbal Police achieved a major success by arresting a drug peddler and recovering contraband substance from his possession.

According to officials, a police team from Police Post Nagbal had established a checkpoint at Dignibal near the Old Water Supply Scheme in Bakura area. During checking, a suspicious individual was intercepted and searched. Police recovered Bhung Patri Powder (a cannabis-like substance) from his possession.

The accused has been identified as Abrar Ahmad Parray, son of Mohd Ismail Parray, a resident of Nagbal Ganderbal. He has been taken into police custody.

A case under the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Ganderbal, and further investigation is underway.

Ganderbal Police reiterated its commitment to eliminating the drug menace from society and appealed to the public to cooperate in the fight against narcotics.

عید سے قبل سرینگر کے تاریخی بازار لال چوک میں روایتی رش دیکھنے کو نہیں ملا۔

منگل کے روز بازار کھلے رہے اور کاروباری سرگرمیاں معمول کے مطابق جاری رہیں، تاہم خریداروں کی تعداد گزشتہ برسوں کے مقابلے میں کافی کم رہی۔ تاجروں کا کہنا ہے کہ عموماً عید کی خریداری آخری دنوں میں اپنے عروج پر ہوتی ہے، لیکن اس بار بازاروں میں وہ گہما گہمی نظر نہیں آ رہی۔

لال چوک اور اطراف کی سڑکیں بھی نسبتاً کم مصروف رہیں، جبکہ دکانداروں کو امید ہے کہ عیدالاضحیٰ سے قبل آخری لمحات میں خریداری میں اضافہ دیکھنے کو ملے گا۔
