Srinagar, August 1, 2026: Janata Dal United (JDU) Jammu & Kashmir UT President G.M. Shaheen today called on Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and held a detailed discussion on the prevailing socio-economic and developmental situation across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
During the meeting, Shaheen expressed serious concern over the inordinate delay in the ex*****on of various developmental projects, particularly the deteriorating condition of roads and the slow pace of road construction and blacktopping works in Srinagar and several other parts of the Union Territory. Srinagar, July 31, 2026:
Janata Dal (United) Jammu & Kashmir President G.M. Shaheen, accompanied by the party's executive team, today visited Pattan to interact with local residents and listen to their grievances regarding various public issues.

During the visit, a large number of people raised concerns over inadequate basic amenities, poor civic infrastructure, unemployment, and the lack of effective governance. Shaheen assured the public that the JDU would continue to raise their issues before the concerned authorities and work tirelessly for their resolution.

Addressing party workers and local leaders, G.M. Shaheen directed all office bearers and grassroots workers to immediately gear up for the forthcoming Municipal and Panchayat elections. He emphasized that the party must strengthen its organizational network at every level and remain closely connected with the people.

Criticizing the present government, Shaheen said that the mandate given to the current administration had turned out to be a major mistake, as people across Jammu and Kashmir are facing immense hardships due to poor governance, rising public dissatisfaction, and the government's failure to address day-to-day issues affecting common citizens.
