Demand for Establishment of Tulip Garden in Shopian — A Genuine Public Aspiration
Shopian, Jammu & Kashmir: Uzair Nisar Dahal, State Social Media Incharge of Bharatiya Janata Party Kisan Morcha, Jammu & Kashmir UT, has urged the Hon’ble Minister of State in the PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh, and the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, to kindly consider the establishment of a Tulip Garden in Shopian district and the organization of a Tulip Festival in the coming years.
He stated that the recently organized Tulip Festival in Pulwama is a commendable initiative that has significantly boosted tourism and generated livelihood opportunities for the local population. He appreciated the visionary leadership and continued efforts of Dr. Jitendra Singh in promoting developmental initiatives across Jammu & Kashmir.
Uzair Nisar Dahal further highlighted that Shopian is equally blessed with immense natural beauty, including lush green forests, serene surroundings, and well-known tourist destinations such as Peer Ki Gali. Despite its vast potential, the district has not received adequate attention in terms of tourism infrastructure and promotion.
He emphasized that the establishment of a Tulip Garden in Shopian would not only enhance tourism in unexplored areas but also create employment opportunities for local youth and contribute to balanced regional development.
He added that this is not merely a request, but a genuine voice and aspiration of the people of Shopian, which deserves due consideration and timely action from the concerned authorities.
