Fire Erupts in Sukhdaar, Uri: Authorities and Locals Work Together to Contain Blaze

, Dec 21: A broke out in the forested area of Uri earlier today, causing widespread alarm in the region. Multiple teams from the Department, Fire and Emergency Services, , , and local residents have mobilized to control the fire and prevent it from spreading further.

Speaking on the situation, an official from the Forest Department stated, "The lack of rainfall and snow for an extended period has left the grass and vegetation extremely , which has contributed to the rapid spread of the fire. Our teams are on the ground, employing every possible method to contain the blaze."

The further urged the public to exercise caution and avoid using fire in forested areas or near their homes, as such incidents can have devastating consequences. "Community awareness is crucial to prevent such disasters in the future," he added.

The fire is being tackled through a coordinated effort, with teams using all available resources to control the flames. While no injuries or damage to nearby settlements have been reported, the situation remains critical, and efforts are ongoing to mitigate the damage to the forest and wildlife.

Authorities have called for vigilance among residents to prevent similar incidents in the future, emphasizing the importance of responsible behavior when dealing with fire URI News Network.

Uri News Network:- Due to high power cut in Uri Baramulla people have been affected a lot and these days the electricity fee has gone up a lot and is still happening. Despite having 2 power stations in Uri, electricity is not visible. The people of Uri say that the government should take this issue seriously. The people of Uri say that the government has given assurance many times before but has not fulfilled even a single promise. The people of Uri are facing problems. People are expressing their displeasure with their administration and the electricity department of Uri and are requesting the government to come up with a solution to this problem. 85% of people in Uri are very poor Due to high poverty in Uri, people do not have any work and there is no other source of income, so people are worried that the electricity department has increased the fees too much and electricity is not seen anywhere.People are hoping for the same thing from the government and are appealing to the government that the electricity fee which has been increased too much should be reduced and the electricity should be cut on time.People have to face a lot of trouble due to untimely power cuts People are request LG administration, Baramulla administration and power department to reduce the electricity fee and to release electricity on time and cut it on time.(UNN).
