Lal Bazaar, March 13: In a significant development for the residents and business community of Lal Bazar, Axis Bank is set to open its new branch at Main Chowk Lal Bazar in Srinagar.

The upcoming branch is expected to enhance banking accessibility in the area by providing a wide range of financial services, including savings and current accounts, loans, digital banking facilities, and ATM services. The establishment of the branch is anticipated to benefit local residents, traders, and entrepreneurs by bringing modern banking services closer to the community.

Locals have welcomed the move, stating that the presence of a major private sector bank like Axis Bank will strengthen financial convenience and support economic activity in the Lal Bazar area.

Once operational, the branch will serve Lal Bazar and its adjoining localities, reducing the need for residents to travel to distant areas for banking services.

Bagwanpora Lal Bazaar, March 12: MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq today laid the foundation stone for the Community Hall at Bagwanpora, Lal Bazaar, fulfilling a long-pending demand of the local residents.

Speaking on the occasion, Sadiq described the moment as deeply emotional, recalling that the first floor of the hall had originally been constructed in 1998 by his father, Late Sadiq Ali Sahib, during his tenure as MLA. However, the project remained incomplete for nearly three decades.

The MLA said that completing the long-pending project was a way of carrying forward his father’s vision while ensuring that the facility serves the people of the area.

Once completed, the community hall is expected to provide an important space for social gatherings, public meetings, and community events, benefiting thousands of residents of Bagwanpora and the wider Lal Bazaar area.

Local residents welcomed the development and expressed hope that the long-awaited project will soon be completed and put to use for the welfare of the community.
