Mochi or Sayed Zaadi ki Dard Naak Kahani 😭
A poor cobbler used to watch people heading for Hajj every year and would say, "InshaAllah, one day I too will perform Hajj just like them." He worked very hard, repairing people's shoes to earn money. He spent some on his household expenses and saved the rest diligently.
After years of immense struggle and patience, he finally saved enough money for Hajj. Filled with joy, he joined a caravan of pilgrims and set off on the journey.
During a rest stop on the way, the cobbler went into the nearby jungle for privacy. There, he witnessed a shocking sight: a veiled Muslim woman was cutting meat from a dead animal to take home. Curious and concerned, he quietly followed her.
She entered a small house. Peeking through the window, the cobbler was heartbroken to see her preparing to cook the impure meat for her starving children. She appeared to be a pious Muslim woman observing hijab.
Unable to stay silent, he called out, "Sister, what are you doing? Open the door—I won't let you do this!" The woman opened the door in tears and explained, "I am a Sayyidah (descendant of the Prophet ﷺ). I am in such dire need that my children are dying of hunger. That's why I was going to feed them this."
Tears welled up in the cobbler's eyes. He said, "Throw away this meat. I'll go and arrange proper food for your children." Instead of continuing to Hajj, he used all his saved Hajj money to buy as much ration and supplies as possible and gave them to the woman and her family.
The grateful Sayyidah raised her hands in dua: "O Allah, make this traveler successful in both worlds!"
The cobbler returned home without completing Hajj. Months later, when the pilgrims returned to the village, the cobbler was welcoming them by garlanding the new Hajjis with flowers.
The returning Hajjis were surprised and said, "Brother, why are you garlanding us? You were with us on the journey— you should be wearing the garland too!"
The villagers clarified, "What are you saying? This cobbler stayed here with us. He turned back from the way and never reached Mecca!"
Everyone gathered in amazement and asked, "O cobbler, tell us—what great deed did you perform that Allah accepted your Hajj right from your home?"
Moral: In the sight of Allah, the true essence of Hajj lies in the sacrifice of the heart and helping those in need. Genuine compassion and charity for Allah's sake are never wasted—Allah rewards them immensely. SubhanAllah! 🕋💖
