Kulgam, J&K β€” September 26, 2025:
The annual Urs Mubarak of the revered Sufi saint Faqeer Mohammad Maqbool Bhat Sahab (RA), fondly known as Mag Soub Ra, will be observed with deep respect, devotion, and spiritual fervor on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at his sacred shrine (Zyarat Shareef) located in Katrasoo village, Kulgam district.

Katrasoo village is situated approximately 5.9 kilometers from the main town of Kulgam and has long been a place of pilgrimage for devotees who come to pay homage to the saint’s legacy of peace, unity, and spiritual enlightenment.

Spiritual Gatherings and Prayers

As part of the Urs observance, the day will begin with Khatmaat-ul-Mazoomaat, recitations of Durood-o-Azkaar, and special congregational prayers seeking blessings for peace and harmony.

The night will feature a soulful Mehfil-e-Samaah, locally known as β€œShab-e-Khwani”, where Sufi personalities and devotees will gather in remembrance of Mag Soub Ra. This spiritual gathering is expected to resonate with traditional Sufi poetry, zikr, and devotional music, carrying forward the rich cultural heritage of Kashmir’s Sufi traditions.

A Message of Unity and Peace

The Urs carries the timeless message of unity, love, harmony, and the pursuit of truthβ€”values that were embodied by Mag Soub Ra throughout his life. Devotees believe his teachings continue to guide people toward spiritual awakening and communal harmony.

Arrangements for Devotees

All arrangements for the event have been meticulously organized by Mohammad Altaf Bhat Sahab, the devoted son of the beloved Murshid-e-Kamil, Mag Soub Ra. New Delhi: The 722nd Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Khwaja Syed Nizamuddin Aulia (R.A), one of the most revered Sufi saints of the Indian subcontinent, will be commemorated at the historic Dargah Sharif from October 9 to October 13, 2025. The annual Urs marks the death anniversary of the saint, celebrated as a spiritual union with the Divine, and attracts thousands of devotees from across the country and abroad.

According to the organizers, the Urs programme will include Quran recitation, special prayers, Shijra Khwani (genealogical recitation of Sufi lineage), and soulful qawwali performances. Langar (community meals) will be arranged throughout the five-day observance to serve visiting pilgrims and devotees.

The schedule of the Urs is as follows:

October 9, 2025 (16 Rabi-ul-Sani): Opening of the Urs celebrations after Maghrib prayers with Quran recitation and dua.

October 10, 2025 (17 Rabi-ul-Sani): Dua and Quran recitation after Isha prayers inside the Aastana Sharif.

October 11, 2025 (18 Rabi-ul-Sani): Bada Qul Sharif at 11 AM with Quran recitation, Shijra Khwani, and dua.

October 12, 2025 (19 Rabi-ul-Sani): Qul Sharif at 11 AM, including Quran recitation, Shijra Khwani, and dua.

October 13, 2025 (20 Rabi-ul-Sani): Concluding day with Qul Sharif at 11 AM and closing ceremony after Maghrib prayers featuring Quran recitation, Shijra Khwani, and dua.

The Urs of Hazrat Khwaja Nizamuddin Aulia, often called Mehboob-e-Ilahi (Beloved of God), is an important annual event in the Sufi calendar. The saint’s message of love, harmony, and inclusiveness continues to inspire people across generations, transcending religious and cultural boundaries.

Organizers have urged devotees to participate in the Urs with devotion and respect, and to uphold the spirit of unity and brotherhood that the revered saint preached throughout his life.
