Urs Mubarak of Faqeer Mohammad Maqbool Bhat Sahab (Mag Soub Ra) to Be Observed on October 5 in Katrasoo, Kulgam

The annual Urs Mubarak of the revered Sufi saint Faqeer Mohammad Maqbool Bhat Sahab (RA), fondly known as Mag Soub Ra, will be observed with deep respect, devotion, and spiritual fervor on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at his sacred shrine (Zyarat Shareef) located in Katrasoo village, Kulgam district.
Katrasoo village is situated approximately 5.9 kilometers from the main town of Kulgam and has long been a place of pilgrimage for devotees who come to pay homage to the saintβs legacy of peace, unity, and spiritual enlightenment.
Spiritual Gatherings and Prayers
As part of the Urs observance, the day will begin with Khatmaat-ul-Mazoomaat, recitations of Durood-o-Azkaar, and special congregational prayers seeking blessings for peace and harmony.
The night will feature a soulful Mehfil-e-Samaah, locally known as βShab-e-Khwaniβ, where Sufi personalities and devotees will gather in remembrance of Mag Soub Ra. This spiritual gathering is expected to resonate with traditional Sufi poetry, zikr, and devotional music, carrying forward the rich cultural heritage of Kashmirβs Sufi traditions.

All arrangements for the event have been meticulously organized by Mohammad Altaf Bhat Sahab, the devoted son of the beloved Murshid-e-Kamil, Mag Soub Ra.
