*Pakistan Must End Human Rights Violations in Pakistan-Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (POJK) Social and Human rights activist Umar Bhat*

Umar Bhat strongly condemns the continued human rights violations, repression, and excessive use of force by Pakistani authorities against innocent civilians in Pakistan-Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (POJK).

Pakistan-Occupied Jammu & Kashmir remains under Pakistan’s illegal occupation since 1947. The people living in these territories are entitled to fundamental human rights, democratic freedoms, and dignity. However, numerous reports from POJK indicate a troubling pattern of intimidation, arbitrary detentions, suppression of dissent, and the use of force against civilians who raise legitimate concerns regarding their rights and welfare.

Umar Bhat expresses deep concern over the worsening human rights situation in the occupied territory. Residents of POJK continue to face restrictions on freedom of expression, limited democratic participation, lack of transparency in governance, and curbs on peaceful protests. Such actions are inconsistent with internationally recognized human rights principles and democratic values.

It is unfortunate that instead of addressing the genuine aspirations of the people for development, justice, and political representation, the Pakistani establishment has repeatedly resorted to coercive measures and repression. The voices of ordinary citizens demanding accountability, economic opportunities, and better living conditions are being silenced through intimidation and force.

Speaking on the issue, Umar Bhat stated:

"We stand firmly in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Pakistan-Occupied Jammu & Kashmir. Their suffering and grievances cannot be ignored. Every individual deserves the right to live with dignity, freedom, and justice. The international community must take serious note of the ongoing human rights violations and ensure accountability for those responsible."

Umar Bhat further called upon the international community, global human rights organizations, and democratic nations to closely monitor the situation in POJK and take appropriate steps to hold Pakistan accountable for violations of fundamental human rights.

He also demanded an immediate end to all forms of repression against civilians, the release of unlawfully detained individuals, the protection of fundamental freedoms, and the restoration of democratic rights and civil liberties in the occupied territory.

Umar Bhat reaffirmed his commitment to raising awareness about the plight of the people living under illegal occupation and pledged to continue advocating for justice, human dignity, peace, and the protection of fundamental human rights in Pakistan-Occupied Jammu & Kashmir.

Chairman Musuada and MF Productions Pay Tribute to Pahalgam Martyrs
“We Remain United Against Terror, Committed to Ending Suffering in J&K”

Srinagar, April 22: Chairman of Musuada and MF Productions, Umar Bhat, on Wednesday paid heartfelt tributes to the martyrs of the Pahalgam attack, reaffirming that the people of Kashmir stand united against terrorism and violence.

In his statement, Umar Bhat said:
"One year on, we remain united against terror and violence. The people of Jammu & Kashmir continue to stand firm with a shared resolve to end suffering and protect innocent lives."

He further added:
"We are committed to doing everything within our capacity to ensure that such tragedies never occur again. We stand in eternal solidarity with the families who lost their loved ones in that cowardly attack. Their pain is our pain, and their loss will never be forgotten."

He concluded by praying for the departed souls:
"May the souls of the victims rest in peace.
