Fresh Snowfall Blankets Kaobal Gali in Tulail Area of Bandipora

Bandipora, September 5: Fresh snowfall was recorded in the higher reaches of Kaobal Gali in the Tulail area of Bandipora district on Saturday, bringing a noticeable change in weather conditions across the high-altitude region of north Kashmir.

The snowfall covered the mountainous landscape with a fresh layer of snow, adding to the scenic beauty of the region and giving the upper reaches a distinctly wintry appearance.

Kaobal Gali, located in the higher reaches of the Tulail Valley, is among the areas that frequently experience snowfall during colder weather conditions owing to its elevation and mountainous terrain.

The latest spell of snowfall was particularly visible across the upper reaches, where temperatures remain considerably lower compared to the plains. The development also marked an early change in weather conditions in the higher areas of the Gurez-Tulail belt.

The Gurez-Tulail region has witnessed snowfall in its higher reaches during previous weather events as well, with elevated areas often receiving precipitation in the form of snow when temperatures fall.

Meanwhile, further details regarding the exact intensity of the snowfall and the accumulation recorded at Kaobal Gali were not immediately available.

The fresh snowfall has once again highlighted the distinct weather conditions prevailing in the upper reaches of Bandipora district, while adding to the natural charm of the mountainous Tulail landscape.(KNC)

Immediate commencement of Banali–Gulmarg Road work demanded: Bharat Jodo Party
Banali, Boniyar: The Bharat Jodo Party extends its sincere thanks to the MLA Uri, DDC Boniyar, Block President Boniyar, Halqa President Zahid Sharief, Chairman Zahid Sharief, the entire leadership committee, and all the Molvi Sahibs, for giving importance to the long-pending issues and genuine demands of the people of Banali.
The Bharat Jodo Party also expresses its gratitude to the Government of India for handing over the important Banali–Gulmarg Road project to BEACON. The project proposal for this road was submitted during 2020–22, and the road has already been sanctioned. We now appeal to the Government of India and the concerned authorities to start the work on the ground immediately.
During the visit, local people placed several important demands before the MLA Uri, including the construction of bathrooms, fencing, and a community building. The MLA assured the people that these genuine demands would also be taken up on a priority basis and efforts would be made to complete the works at the earliest.
On behalf of the people of the area, the Bharat Jodo Party appeals to the concerned authorities to immediately initiate the works related to bathrooms, fencing, and the community building.
We also strongly appeal to the Government of India and the concerned authorities to immediately commence the Banali–Gulmarg Road, which has already been sanctioned, so that the people of the area can benefit from improved road connectivity, employment opportunities, and tourism development.
