Two Labourers from Magam Kokernag Found Dead in Nowgam
Nowgam, Srinagar:
Two labourers, both residents of Magam Kokernag in south Kashmir, were found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Nowgam area of Srinagar on Tuesday, creating shock and concern among locals.
According to official sources, the bodies were discovered earlier in the day
The identities of the deceased have been confirmed as residents of Magam Kokernag. However, the exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained.

_ACB Arrests Patwari for Accepting Bribe in Anantnag_

Srinagar, August 1: In a crackdown on corruption, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Patwari Halqa Fatehpora, District Anantnag, for accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 for issuing revenue records.

According to a statement issued by the ACB, a complaint was received alleging that Mohammad Ayoub Hajam, Patwari, Halqa Fatehpora, demanded Rs 9,000 as a bribe for issuing a certified copy of online mutation in respect of land purchased by the complainant's wife in February. The amount was later negotiated and settled at Rs 5,000.

The ACB team laid a successful trap and caught Mohammad Ayoub Hajam red-handed while demanding and accepting the bribe amount. The bribe amount was recovered from his possession in the presence of independent witnesses.

An FIR has been registered under section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, and further investigation is ongoing.

This arrest is a significant step in the ACB's efforts to curb corruption in the state. The ACB has reassured the public that it will continue to take strict action against anyone found involved in corrupt practices.

*OGW Module Busted in Beerwah, Budgam*

The Budgam Police has dismantled a module comprising seven individuals from the Beerwah area. These individuals were involved in the dissemination of anti-national terrorist propaganda by affixing posters in and around Beerwah area. The arrested persons were identified as Romain Rasool Sheikh, Irfan Nazir Sheikh, Rizwan Nazir Sheikh, Sahil Javid Sheikh all resident of Bonet Beerwah, Jahangir Bashir Mir, Tariq Ashraf Sheikh, both residents of Utligam Beerwah and Shakir Lateef Pathan, resident of Gandhipora, Beerwah.
The module was led by Romain Rasool Sheikh and Irfan Nazir Sheikh, who during investigation were found manipulated by a LeT’s Pakistani handler. It further emerged that the duo, acting as local motivators, instructed the other five individuals to carry out the assigned tasks. Incriminating evidence has been recovered from the apprehended persons. Investigation in the case is progressing.
