*Srinagar Police Seeks Public Assistance In Identification of Accused Of Theft*

Srinagar, August 19, 2025 :

In connection with case FIR No. 39/2025 under section 379 IPC registered at Police Station Maharaj Gunj on 12th July 2025, regarding the theft of an Alto car bearing registration number JK01AN-3169, Srinagar Police seeks the assistance of general public in identifying the thief.

Acting promptly on the complaint of theft, the Investigation Officer (IO) initiated a thorough investigation.
CCTV footage from various areas was scrutinized meticulously, and after sustained efforts, a suspected individual involved in the theft has been narrowed down.

We appeal to the general public to come forward with any information that may help identify the individual seen in the footage.
Your cooperation can play a crucial role in solving the case and bringing the culprit to justice.

Anyone with relevant information is requested to contact Police Station Maharaj Gunj.

In a significant development in the high-profile murder case of Advocate Babar Qadri, the Special Designated Court under the NIA Act has formally framed charges under Sections 16, 18, and 38 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 against Advocate Mian Abdul Qayoom, former President of the Kashmir High Court Bar Association. Announcing the nomination, BJP president J P Nadda said a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Naredra Modi decided Radhakrishnan's name after an extensive deliberation.
