Security Forces Strike Big in Kupwara Village, Foil Terrorist Supply Plot
Kupwara: Based on specific intelligence inputs provided by Military Intelligence, a joint operation was conducted by 160 Battalion (TA), 5 PARA, and Kralpora Police Station on the night of 27-28 July 2025 in Marsary, Chowkibal area of north Kashmir's Kupwara district.
During the operation, security forces raided the house of Wali Mohammad Mir and recovered a significant quantity of arms and ammunition, including, 1 AK-56 Rifle, 3 AK-56 Magazines, 17 UBGL Grenades and over 1000 rounds of AK ammunition.
An FIR (No. 53/2025) has been registered at Kralpora Police Station under relevant sections of the Indian Arms Act, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, and Explosives Act.
Meanwhile, security forces have launched further investigations to uncover potential links to terrorist activities in the area. Security forces have intensified operations in the area to prevent any untoward incidents.
This successful operation highlights the continued efforts of security agencies to combat terrorism and maintain peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
